We had a fantastic time at Posada Del Gaucho! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with advice on local activities and transportation options. The hostel itself is spacious, with plenty of seating areas and a well-equipped kitchen. The building is beautiful, with high ceilings and lots of natural light. We also loved the rooftop terrace, which offered stunning views of the old city rooftops. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the wifi was fast. The location was convenient, close to Independence Square and the Port Market. We also appreciated the regular cleaning of the common areas.

our weekend trip to montevideo was even better than our previous stay. posada del gaucho exceeded our expectations with its centrally located and beautifully restored building. the rooftop terrace and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable.

The building itself was beautifully restored, with high ceilings and lots of natural light. The rooftop terrace was a great spot to enjoy the sunset views over the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The combined bathroom/toilet facilities were a bit inconvenient, especially when the hotel was busy. It would have been helpful to have more hooks or shelves in the bathroom for hanging clothes while showering.
